House Speaker Tim Moore And Senate Leader Phil Berger Talk Upcoming Session
In an interview on Spectrum News' "Capital Tonight," House Speaker Tim Moore and Senate leader Phil Berger commented briefly on what might be expected in the upcoming legislative session beginning January 10, 2018. Although the interviews were broadcasted separately, Moore and Berger both intimated possible action on budgetary changes, judicial redistricting proposals, constitutional amendments, the issue of GenX river contamination, and Governor Roy Cooper's appointments to state boards. However, neither Moore nor Berger were sure whether or not the issues will be ready for a vote this month. During the interview, Phil Berger said, "I don't know if we'll be ready at the time of January 10 to move forward."
