NCSPRA Hosts Annual Blue Ribbon Awards
The North Carolina School Public Relations Association, an NCASA affiliate, hosted their annual Blue Ribbon Awards Ceremony and Brunch on Friday, January 26. This awards ceremony recognizes and honors effective school communications and public relations. A total of 360 Blue Ribbon Awards entries were recognized this year. The following entries were named the “Best of the Best,” a designation that celebrates the best overall entry in each category:

Closing the Blue Ribbon Awards Ceremony is the naming of the 2018 Barry Gaskins Outstanding Service Award. Named for the late Barry Gaskins, the award is the highest honor bestowed by NCSPRA.
NCASA would also like to congratulate 2018 Barry Gaskins Award recipient Nora Carr, Chief of Staff for Guilford County Schools. In her 27-year career, Carr has worked as a professional communicator, providing guidance on issues management, communications and strategic planning. She is a resource to our state’s school public relations and communications professionals, and embodies the spirit of camaraderie that is Gaskin’s legacy.
