Katrina Harrell


Katrina manages the financial operations of NCASA. Prior to joining NCASA, she worked in both private and nonprofit sectors as a corporate accountant and has more than 20 years of experience. Katrina’s career started as a Corporate Tax Accountant Intern with Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner, Smith, Inc. and has since developed expertise in business development, internal controls, organizational development, strategic planning and analysis for a diverse set of corporate entities, small businesses, and large nonprofits. 

Taking a short sabbatical from corporate accounting and business development, Katrina served a one-year term with the AmeriCorps VISTA program supporting Habitat for Humanity International’s affiliate, Cape Fear Habitat for Humanity, providing capacity building and resource development support for their signature Restores and later as a Community Development Coordinator spearheading Neighborhood Revitalization endeavors within the Wilmington area. Katrina remains strategically active within Wilmington’s community development efforts serving on the board of and advising several organizations. 

Katrina obtained a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting from Saint Peter’s University in 2000 and an Executive Certificate in Social Impact Strategy from University of Pennsylvania in 2016. She is also an appointed Notary Public for the state of North Carolina. Katrina currently has her eyes set on obtaining CPA designation as well as earning an MBA. Katrina currently resides in Raleigh, NC and is the proud mother of two beautiful children.
