• sponsor 2019 School Safety Symposium
    Thursday, July 25 - Friday, July 26

We can't wait to see you in Asheville at the Doubletree Biltmore. Join us as we welcome Katherine Posada, an English teacher who has spent the last three years of her career at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. Posada will deliver our opening keynote address, sharing her experience in the classroom before and after the shooting and what she's learned since. Friday morning brings another special keynote from our own Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools. This day and a half full CEU credit workshop will also explore bullying, custody, social media, resilience, media and community messaging in a crisis, daily security, visitors, discipline, legislation, threat assessments, practical advice from districts conducting school reunification drills, and crisis prevention, intervention and response. Suitable for all levels of school administration and safety-focused staff, we look forward to seeing both district and school leadership in Asheville this summer. Questions? Please reach out to the NCASA team at 919-828-1426.
