NCASA was formed in 1976 as the only professional organization in the state dedicated to serving the entire administrative leadership team in each of North Carolina’s public schools and districts. Now serving more than 7,000 school leaders statewide, NCASA provides professional development, communications and advocacy to uphold our mission and support our members’ core beliefs, ensuring student success through visionary leadership.
We are your advocate.
We represent the voice of school administrators on legislative and policy issues affecting public education in North Carolina. We have dedicated staff who devote themselves to providing non-partisan advocacy to represent your interests and promote strong public schools in the halls of the North Carolina General Assembly and before the Governor’s Office, State Board of Education, State Retirement System, State Health Plan and other policy-making entities.
We are your network.
Engage with your peers at one of our high quality professional development opportunities for all school administrators. We consistently deliver superior meetings, seminars, retreats and new-to-job orientations with engaging and thought-provoking speakers, informative administrator skill development sessions and extensive networking opportunities. NCASA also facilitates efforts by our affiliates to provide specialized training tailored to various segments of our membership. We are proud to provide information and resources from supportive corporate partners on products and services that facilitate quality work in public education as well as collaboration with other respected education organizations and agencies as part of your benefits package.
We are your system of support.
NCASA contracts with experienced attorneys who provide legal training, the latest information on pertinent education topics, and even one-on-one consulting to help members determine next steps in employment-related disputes.
NCASA’s first-class communication efforts begin with our informative website, www.ncasa.net, which is designed not only to deliver breaking news but to serve as an informational resource to our members. Through www.ncasa.net we offer online job posting, launch our weekly e-newsletter In the Know and link to our legislative news hub, NCASALegislativeLink.org. Our Raleigh-based staff is available to answer questions on laws, policies and member services as well as to provide updates on timely topics during visits with district leadership teams and affiliated organizations.
Take advantage of district support with our ongoing public relations campaign, North Carolina Public Schools: Every Child’s Chance... Every Community’s Future, designed to unite our districts, allowing them to stand up as one to tell their stories of success and defeat the myth that our public schools are broken.
Joining NCASA is a wise investment for every district.
We believe in supporting excellence in leadership. Not only will we provide you and your staff the tools to become stronger, more confident leaders and managers, but we’ll continue to advocate on your behalf with federal agencies, the North Carolina Legislature and the State Board of Education – the combination of which ensures a bright future for North Carolina’s public schools.
