Membership to NCASA is open to anyone who serves as a system-wide administrator, supervisor, principal, assistant principal or in any other leadership position in a North Carolina K-12 public school system. Any college or university professor teaching students preparing for educational administration or leadership is also eligible for membership and encouraged to join. Membership is a wise investment for EVERY school administrator and student aspiring to join a public school leadership team.
Joining the NCASA means that you are a part of vast network of individuals who are dedicated to serving North Carolina's public schools and districts. More than 7,000 school leaders strong, we strive to provide professional development, communications and advocacy to uphold our mission and support our members' core beliefs, ensuring student success through visionary leadership. To be eligible and to retain membership, all members under this subsection must support the mission and goals of NCASA.
Active Superintendents across the state may join; this rate includes membership in both NCASA and NCSSA, the state's premier association for leadership development and networking among your peers.

Any person who is not a school administrator but is actively interested in, engaged in, or associated with any phase of educational work shall be eligible for associate membership. Members at this level are not entitled to hold a voting position on the Board of Directors or hold office as President or President-Elect.

Individual membership to an administrator who belongs to an NCASA Affiliate organization whose budget is not funded through NCASA* Affiliate agencies enjoy two seats each on the NCASA Board of Directors. Get involved today!
*NCASA financially supports the North Carolina Association of Principals and Assistant Principals (NCPAPA) and the North Carolina School Superintendents Association (NCSSA).
A person who has served in a category eligible for active membership but who is retired prior to June 20,1976, or an active member of the association retiring from full-time employment as of June 30, 1976 or thereafter, shall be eligible for retired membership. Members at this level are not entitled to hold a voting position on the Board of Directors or hold office as President or President-Elect.
Any person who is a graduate student in administration or supervision and is not eligible for active membership in any of the above categories shall be eligible for student membership. Members at this level are not entitled to hold a voting position on the Board of Directors or hold office as President or President-Elect.
